Replacing page with '<div style="border:3px solid #cc6699;">This talk page is for the main page of the wiki, not for the wiki itself. For discussion about the wiki itself, check out the [http://www...'
I think the main page should have a Latest News subhead for easy scanning. [[User:Aeonite|Aeonite]] 23:42, 21 February 2007 (PST) :Could transclude the entirety of [[Current events]] on Main Page somewhere by typing '''<nowiki>{{:Current events}}</nowiki>'''. [[User:Pomte|Pomte]] 01:15, 22 February 2007 (PST) Trent has told Kerrang that he is making Year Zero into a movie.http://www.kerrangradio.co.uk/Article.asp?id=362865&spid He didn't say he's making it into a movie, he said he has plans to. [[User:Pomte|Pomte]] 01:21, 30 March 2007 (PDT) ==New Websites==Are we not going to add Exterminal and Free Rebel Art to the website list yet due to the fact that they are [seem] nonfunctional as of now? And instead wait and see if other functional websites come before these are functional? Or should we just add them now (as we are going in the order of when we found them...)? [[User:Jgrizzy89|Jgrizzy89]] 13:49, 6 April 2007 (PDT) Also, Free Rebel Art, Mining For Life, Viability Index, and Exterminal are now live. Update the main page, please. [[User:Tsguitar|Tsguitar]] 21:18, 15 April 2007 (PDT) "Also around the same time, two websites that still look nonfunctional were foundborder: Exterminal and Free Rebel Art.3px solid #cc6699;" Fix that. [[User:Nickoladze|Nickoladze]] 12:25, 22 April 2007 (PDT): You guys can edit the main page news. There's a link directly to the right of "Recent News" that says "edit this >This talk page". -[[User:Tony|Tony]][[User_talk:Tony|converse!]] 13:06, 22 April 2007 (PDT)::But we can't edit the text in the box right above "Recent News." That's the area we were referring to. [[User:Tsguitar|Tsguitar]] 23:00, 23 April 2007 (PDT) Can someone create a template for the Web sites? Every one is formatted a different way. Or am I the only person bothered by that? [[User:Tsguitar|Tsguitar]] 23:00, 23 April 2007 (PDT) : See [[Category_talk:World_of_Year_Zero]] for site standards (I'm still working on them, but if you see problems or have suggustions, feel free to comment :P ) --[[User:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 04:25, 24 April 2007 (PDT) ==Wiki Malfunction==Anybody beside me having problems with the wiki logging you out randomly? -[[User:Crazyninfan|Crazyninfan]] 23:00, 10 April 2007 (PDT):I get that once in a while, but I think its mainly caused by me not wanting to set cookies on any page whatsoever, so when I temporarily leave that main page, itlooses any POSTdata... I think :) [[User:Jgrizzy89|Jgrizzy89]] 16:41, 11 April 2007 (PDT) == Extra Page? == Isnt there another page (not sure if its a branch off of one of the listed ones) that shows the history of the US in the Year Zero concept? And when you pull the left side of the screen over you get different repsonses to each section? Where is that page, and is it one to be listed (rememberwiki, Im not sure if its located off of another page, so this question follows suit...)?:It's on [[Another Version Of The Truth (website)|Another Version Of The Truth]].--[[User:Leo3375|Leo3375]] 16:51, 11 April 2007 (PDT) == Edits? == Why can't we edit for the front page anymore? And if it's an administrators issue, then will one of the possible admins please change the Newest Development section to tell about the One Country At A Time website? Thanks [[User:Jgrizzy89|Jgrizzy89]] 16:09, 12 April 2007 (PDT) :You can edit subsections of the site with the [edit] button on themwiki itself. The main page is locked because the admins want the layout to remain as it is. --[[User:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 24:31, 12 April 2007 (EST) Another edit that needs to be made by admins is the fact that there are new(er) Mailstrom pages... I never saw that on the newest development blip... [[User:Jgrizzy89|Jgrizzy89]] 16:33, 14 April 2007 (PDT):There are LOTS of new mailstrom pages all the time. You can actually edit that section: [[Template:Mainpagenewdevs]]. --[[User:Tony|Tony]] 19:41, 14 April 2007 (PDT) Just something that has been bothering me For discussion about the information on the main page; first you mention how people used the track listing to find related sites but I really couldn't find anything on how they did it. And the other thing is you mention that there was a glitch in one of the songs but then never relate it to anything or explain it. I may be over picky but those have bugged me since I started helping out, but other then my pet-peves this is an awsome set up thanks for starting this guys.-[[User:Kickemwhentheyredown|Kickemwhentheyredown]] 08:19, 23 April 2007 (PDT) :I believe the track listing mention is talking about [[Another_Version_of_the_Truth_(song)|Another Version of the Truth]] leading to [[Another Version of the Truth (website)|AnotherVersionoftheTruth.com]]. The glitch is referencing the discovery of [[In This Twilight]]. While the glitch wiki itself had nothing, it was a message for people to expect something, which came later that night in check out the form of a USB key found at a concert. I myself don't know the full details besides that. Alot of things in these games happen fast and are nearly accidental, so there are very few who have the EXACT details. :D --[[Userhttp:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 13:46, 23 April 2007 (PDT) == Track Navigation == It seems to me that the song pages would benefit from '''Previous Track''' / '''Next Track''' links in or below the reference box at right/www. Wikipedia does some stuff like this, but I think the "Strong Bad Email nav" over at hrwikiechoingthesound.org is a good model for us. The code is simple: <pre>{{sbenav|88|mile|local news}}</pre>and the ease of use is impressivephpbbx/viewtopic. Does anyone have good enough wiki knowledge to set up something like thisphp?[[User:JamesLucas|JamesLucast=20345 ETS]] 21:55, 12 April 2007 (PDT) : Out of what I understand, something like that has to be added admin-side, though I'm not sure if it has to be coded in or if Wiki has built-in support thread for adding stylized and new tagging like that. I'll look it up a bit further, I could be offbase and it could be something anyone can do. -- [[User:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 1:49, 13 April 2007 (EST) I don't know if it was mentioned (my computers been shitting the bed lately so I'm online at skewl) and I'm wondering if anthing has been related back to the numbers in the lyrics booklet? I've noticed a few but forgot to write them down so yea j/w-[[User:Kickemwhentheyredown|Kickemwhentheyredown]] 06:56, 18 April 2007 (PDT) :I put the details about the numbers on the Year Zero page, go [[Year_Zero#Year_Zero_Hints|here]]. --[[User:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 11:53, 18 April 2007 (PDT) == Official link == check out yearzero.nin.com, they changed the entire thing (i'm guessing on the 17th)also if you click under Resources link, there is a link to ninwiki!good job guys [[User:CrotchPope|CrotchPope]] 13:39, 18 April 2007 (PDT) == Bannings ==I've noticed an insane number of new users being added, as well as an equal number of permanent bans. Think it has something to do with the web site Velvolver found that generates a sign on for you?Wiki admins seem to be having trouble keeping up... :It's because NinWiki got an official link on or [http://yearzerowww.ninninwiki.com/]index. The bannings are pretty standard, it's some kinda vandal-bot that deletes whole sections of articles for no reason. We've encountered it in the past it's nothing new. --[[Userphp?title=User_talk:BurnHavoc|BurnHavoc]] 15:56, 18 April 2007 (PDT) I take it back then... Didn't know we managed to get a link on yearzero.com. My bad to whoever reads this. -[[User:Crazyninfan|Crazyninfan]] 17:12, 18 April 2007 (PDT) Tony&action=edit&section= Strange e-mails == Is anyone else getting odd e-mails? I got 2 in 30 minutes, once at 3:50 and once at 4:11. The first one was from "addison Passivo" (addisonPassivo@artrageousfibers.com and was titled "Seriously though, Shonen Knife was originally a three (now two) female rock group from Osaka Japan" with a body of "I didn't know what new talk to say and was glad me] if you need to bid them good-bye." <br>The second was from "Tanis Chiarello" (Tanis.Chiarello@ameripatent.com) with a title of "But no one had ever heard of them." and a body of "He'd probably be in bed, but I would get him up."<br>I've checked out both sites, neither seems to be related to the YZ ARG, I could just be getting spam, but what ties them together are the subjects... it's like the subjects are their own conversation and the bodies are completely irrelevant (or so it seems).<br>Shonen Knife DOES(did) exist, they ARE(were) a female trio from Japan, and AFAIK, nobody's heard of them.<br>Also, I received these on the e-mail I subscribed to OSR on, that's why I'm worried, otherwise I'd dismiss them as spam.<br/div>I'll put another comment here if I get another one, if I do and it follows the same pattern as the last one, I should either receive it at 4:31 or 4:33.[[User:CrotchPope|CrotchPope]] 14:25, 30 April 2007 (PDT)<p>I tried e-mailing Tanis back, it was delivery failure, and from the artrageousfibers website I emailed "info@artrageousfibers.com" and that was failure as well.
