Simplistic in natureCharacterized by its very simplistic structure, Piggy contains only a simple drum beat (the exception being the final drum solo) with only bass accompaniment and a small piano line to finish out the song. The album version of Piggy is also the first of several songs to incorporate the famous "Downward Spiral Motif." While this version of the motif does not contain as many notes as other songs on the album (most notably "[[Closer]]" and "[[The Downward Spiral (song)|The Downward Spiral]]") the structure remains relatively the same.
