On February 16, 2009, Reznor announced that the 2009 tour would be NIN's last "for a while." On April 30, 2009, the tour had been renamed from "NIN 2009" to "Wave Goodbye." On May 5, 2009, Reznor disclosed in an interview that this would be the last NIN tour for at least several years.
There has been rumor spread that Nine Inch Nails will officially end the tour with a performance at the new renovated Hollywood Palladium on Sep. 2, 2009 though it has yet to be confirmed.
