Hi, I'm Emily. I post on NIN.com (and lurk ETS on and off) under the same username.
For the curious: I'm currently an undergrad at University of Illinois for in linguistics. I am skilled in such useless languages as Latin and Old English, am working on can speak rudimentary Chinese, and know barely enough Turkish to get around. Phonology is really cool to me, and in a sort of tangential relation, I play classical pianotry to fill requests for transcriptions of NIN-related interviews, speeches, after taking lessons for ten yearsetc. Other than thatIf you post in the questions thread on either NIN or ETS, I'm not very interesting..ll see it and try to get on it ASAP.
I got into NIN a few months after AATCHB came out-- my best friend got the CD as a gift, and she dragged me to her house afterschool one day so we could blast it on the stereo before her parents came home. Been hooked ever since.
