I have no idea if this is possible, but could a new function be added to the search box that would only search things that are under the header "lyrics"? I think it would help people who are looking for a song and just don't know what it's called, and would make it a lot more user-friendly to find things. Cheers, sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can
:Thought I should actually answer this. This isn't as easy as it sounds, it would require alot of back end code, you usually end up on ninwiki if you google "ninwiki [song name] lyrics" or the lyrics themselves anyway ;) Malechite 10:43, 4 March 2010 (PST)
Amazon Affiliate Links
Have you ever considered putting links to Amazon on the pages of CDs? This might be a good idea for a little extra cash if you used the Amazon Affiliates program. Zack 12:06, 1 March 2010 (PST)
:Actually, I have the affiliate accounts all set up for eBay, Amazon, and iTunes, and i've been working on figuring out how i want to put them on the song/album pages. Malechite 14:55, 1 March 2010 (PST)
::Why not build it into the Halo template? Wouldn't be that hard, I'll lend a hand if you show me what needs to be linked to. I wouldn't recommend doing it for song template, as too many songs that are unavailable are on here sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 15:06, 1 March 2010 (PST)
::No one responded, so I gave it a go in the meantime

Seems very easy to do, and I'd be happy to implement sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 08:26, 4 March 2010 (PST)
::Dont do anything yet, i was going to come up with some icons and stuff so not just amazon, but itunes, and ebay, and not only buying the songs on amazon, but searching for the physical copies as well. I also have to generate all the links and put them in a spreadsheet. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but just hold off on this for now. Thanks! Malechite 10:35, 4 March 2010 (PST)
:::Oh don't worry, I was just showing how it could work - I'm going to code up, but not on here, how to work it with three sites, and maybe how it could be done with songs wihtout the hassle of having many songs with no link sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 11:27, 4 March 2010 (PST)
::::Well im planning on having links by the songs of just icons, if its nto available it will be a greyed out version for consistency. the ebay/amazon/album itunes links will go in the upper right under the album art. I suppose they could go in the bottom too, but i dont want that to be the primary place for it. Malechite 11:39, 4 March 2010 (PST)
::::The link matrix is here. I'm currently implementing them on the halo pages. Malechite 20:03, 5 March 2010 (PST)
:::::Current method is nice, although not very obvious - I won't make any changes to that format unless you want to make it big and bold and shiny. The choice between profit and attractive sites is difficult, non? sheepdean Try to speak as clearly as you can 04:51, 6 March 2010 (PST)
::::::Yeah, I'm really going for subtle and unobtrusive, yet available. I've got the big ones in the side now that are like HAY! I'm just going to set it up this way and see what the click through rate is, and then we'll see where it goes from there. I don't want it to be an annoyance to people, more of an easy way for them to get to the product if they are looking for it. Malechite 07:58, 6 March 2010 (PST)
