Is it the death of the Year Zero concept, at least with regards to The Slip not being part of Year Zero?
:I believe it to be "the death of ideals" of the AIR movement. Or what Trent's ideals are. Provided the song is about all the people just Letting all politicians to get away with their ways - i.e.:
"One hand upon your heart, one hand behind your back" - pretending to be all patriotic, but actually being a backstabbing bastard (with a knife held hidden behind your back)
"You keep the fear intact" - creating a strong atmosphere of fear, in order to more easily manipulate people
