The soundtrack for the 2011 US adaptation of ''The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,'' by David Fincher, composed by [[Trent Reznor]] and [[Atticus Ross]].
This is the second soundtrack that Reznor and Ross have worked on together, the previous being ''[[The Social Network Soundtrack]],'' also for David Fincher. The soundtrack is to be released on December 2nd, 2011by [[The Null Corporation]] in the USA and Mute Records worldwide.

An image posted on Mouth Taped Shut showed Reznor in the studio, working on the score. On the monitor of his computer, however, there was a url posted, www.comesforthinthethaw.com, which when typed in linked to a [http://www.comesforthinthethaw.com site] featuring an array of further background music.

Following a clue on ComesForthInTheThaw, the website WhatIsHiddenInSnow.com was found, which led to a series of treasure trails around the world, finding pieces from the film as part of an Alternate Reality Game promotion.
