He attended Pratt Institute in New York for one year and has been working with [[Trent Reznor]] since 1999, after being hired because Reznor was impressed with his unofficial NIN fansite, "Above The Trees", which he created during high school. He has since been appointed as the art director for NIN, contributing photography, web design, album covers and packaging design, an alternate reality game, [[Nine Inch Nails music videos|music videos]], live tour visuals and two live concert films.
He was nominated for the 2008 Grammy award for "Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package" for his work on the ''[[Ghosts I-IV]]'' limited edition boxed set. In his work as art director for HTDA, he has contributed the HTDA logo, promotional photography, and merchandise design. He has also worked with Trent Reznor and [[Atticus Ross]] on the artwork and packaging design for ''[[The Social Network Soundtrack|The Social Network]]'' and ''[[The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack|The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo]]'' soundtracks.
