Changes

This is a list of bands and artists related to [[NIN ]] in some significant way. Some have opened for toured with NIN on tour(as openers, as co-headliners or as headliners), some have collaborated with NIN and [[Trent Reznor]], some have developed grudges against him, and some are current projects of past NIN members.

Army of Anyone is the new Filter, with a [[Richard Patrick]] and project, featuring the old members of DeLeo brothers from Stone Temple Pilots. Their first record came out late 2006.

As the successor to The Damning Well, Black Light Burns also includes [[Danny Lohner]] on guitar/keyboards/sound design, [[Josh Eustis]] of [[Telefon Tel Aviv]] on keyboards and sound design, and [[Josh Freese]] on drums. However, like [[Nine Inch Nails]]NIN, this is mainly Wes Borland's project in the studio, with the other musicians serving for the live component. Borland turned down offers to join [[A Perfect Circle]] as well as Nine Inch Nails as touring guitarist (leading up to the touring behind ''[[With Teeth (halo)|With Teeth]]''), thus leaving those respective gutiarist spots to James Iha and [[Aaron North]] in order to commit to Black Light Burns. Reznor also offered input on the Black Light Burns songs which Borland found to be quite valuable.

The Damning Well is a rock band comprising several NIN members: [[Richard Patrick ]] on vocals, [[Danny Lohner on bass]], and [[Josh Freese ]] on drums, as well as and Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit on guitar. So far, they have only one released song, "Awakening," on the ''Underworld'' soundtrack (2003). The rest of the album they have recorded has no signs of ever being released, although it is possible that Damning Well material that Borland and Patrick wrote will turn up on Filter's upcoming album, ''Anthems for the Damned.''

Filter was formed by [[Richard Patrick]] and [[Brian Liesegang]] after their departure from NIN, for which Patrick was the touring guitarist during the [[Pretty Hate Machine]] era. Liesegang soon quit Filter after their first record, leaving the band as the studio project of [[Richard Patrick]]. They have 5 albumsand a revolving group of other members.

[[Robin Finck]] and [[Josh Freese]] have played for Guns N' Roses. Various hidden references to GNR exist in [[nin.com]]'s "current" photos.NIN played a few shows as a supporting band for GNR in 1991. ==Jim Rose Circus==A freak show/circus troupe that supported Nine Inch Nails in the 1994/1995 tours. They are unusual in this aspect as they are one of, if not the only, non-musical group to support NIN.

'''Meat Beat Manifesto''' is an English electronic music group from Swindon, UKband. They have worked on "Closer (Deviation)", a remix of remixed "[[Closer]]", as well as a remix of and "[[The Perfect Drug (song)|The Perfect Drug]]". They opened for NIN many times during the [[Hate Tour]] in 1990 and once again at the the on [[1996/09/05 New York, NY|1996/09/05]] Night of Nothing show in New York, NY. MBM was also signed to [[Nothing Records]].

'''Moving Units''' is a an American dance-punk band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2001 by Chris Hathwell, Blake Miller, and Johan Boegli. They have performed opening slots for various bands, including Hot Hot Heat, the Pixies, and Blur. They who opened for Nine Inch Nails NIN during the first half of their [[With Teeth Spring Arena Tour]] in 2006. See the [[wp:Moving_Units|Moving Units wikipedia article]].

A Perfect Circle was formed in 1999 by Billy Howerdel, a guitar tech for NIN, Tool, and Smashing Pumpkins (he bears some resemblance to Billy Corgan). Although Howerdel had originally envisioned having a female vocalist, [[Maynard James Keenan]] offered his vocal abilities to the project after hearing some demos. [[Danny Lohner]], [[Jeordie White]], and [[Josh Freese]] are among the other members. APC opened for NIN during [[Fragility v2.0]] in 2000. Josh Freese went on to play drums for NIN from 2005 to 2008.

Queens Of The Stone Age opened for NIN during the autumn leg of the [[With Teeth arena tourFall Arena Tour]]in 2005. [[Dave Grohl]] has played for both bands in the studio. Reznor has provided guest vocals for QOTSA's 2007 record, ''Era Vulgaris.'' Unfortunately, the song, "Era Vulgaris" is not on the US edition of the album, but can be found as a bonus track on the European and Japanese editions of the CD and as a free digital download at the QOTSA website. Josh Homme later stated in an interview that Reznor recorded a song with him for use on the album ''[[Year Zero]],'' but the song did not make it through to the final cut. ==SONOIO==SONOIO is an alternative rock/electronica solo project from [[Alessandro Cortini]] that he began in 2010 after leaving NIN at the end of the [[http://wwwLights In The Sky Tour]].billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003549969]

[[Chris Vrenna]]'s electronic/jazz project Tweaker performed the ''Doom 3'' title theme instead of NIN. Tweaker has 2 3 full-length albums, with a new one set for 2007.
