Someone doesn't know what "different key" means, because it's not in a different key.
Somewhat Damaged (Beside You In Time)
This live version is amongst the bonus footage on Beside You In Time. The intro is very different from the album original, featuring a percussion synth that fades in as the crew finish setting up the stage. Likewise, it's in a lower key than the album version.

Reznor sings in a lower key when performing "Somewhat Damaged" live, due to the intense vocal stress it would normally bring. During On the With Teeth Summer Amphitheater TourFragilityTour, the song had a substantially different introductionwas played pretty much the same as the album version, with Reznor on the guitar.
On However, beginning with the Teeth Summer Amphitheater Tour Tour, and for every subsequent performance, Reznor significantly reworked the song was played pretty much the same as 's live introduction. The reworked introduction starts off very minimalist, with Reznor singing almost a cappella over just a simple synth rhythm line. The new introduction eschews the album version's heavy kick drum entirely, with Reznor on and the guitarline and tom-tom drums aren't brought in until the second stanza. However The full instrumental complement of the album version isn't brought in later tours a new introduction was added to until the end of the songsecond stanza, making it no longer necessary which makes for him to play. An example of this can be seen here in a performance from more impactful contrast with the 2009 Roskilde Festivalsubdued introduction.
