One line in the song's lyrics allude to the NIN song "[[Hurt]]" from ''[[The Downward Spiral (album)|The Downward Spiral]].'' . The incomplete verse "I've become a million miles aw(ay)" is reminiscent to this line from Hurt: "If I could start again/A million miles away".
