The third installment of the aforementioned trilogy, Bad Witch, was released on June 22, 2018. The trilogy was supported with the NIN 2017-2018 touring cycle, including a back-to-basics trek with The Jesus and Mary Chain (named the Cold And Black And Infinite Tour) that saw the live debuts of "And All That Could Have Been" and "The Perfect Drug". That year also saw a partial Reznor and Ross score for Mid90s. The following year saw a flurry of activity from Reznor and Ross, with scores for Bird Box (including an extended box set version), Waves and HBO's Watchmen series.
In spring 2019, Reznor had the honor of inducting one of his inspirations, The Cure, into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Scores for The Woman In The Window, Soul, and David Fincher's Mank were announced for 2020. In late 2019, it was revealed that Reznor and Ross had completed their avant-garde score for The Woman In The Window but that it had been scrapped due to a change in the film's direction. Just under a year after Reznor inducted The Cure into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, it was announced that NIN would be inducted after having been on the ballot three times. On March 26, 2020, two more volumes of the Ghosts series (Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts) were released in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. On November 7, 2020, Reznor and NIN were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Reznor had previously inducted The Cure.
Today, Reznor is happier than he's ever been. He feels that he has found his calling in life and has found joy in creating music. Although he admits he could very easily relapse into his old ways, because he has been there, he has said he never wants to go back. He and his wife currently reside in California with their children and dogs.
