After having the acquisition of Nine Inch Nails' recording contract disputes with from TVT, Malm and Reznor formed by [[Nothing Interscope Records|Interscope]]in August 1991, and jointly released ''[[Broken]]'' with TVT. This would be their last release with the latter, as they then made an agreement Interscope offered to be released through the major help setup a vanity record label , [[Interscope Nothing Records|Interscope]], jointly owned by Reznor and Malm.
