Following the [[Pretty Hate Machine Tour]], "Sanctified" was not played again until the [[Dissonance]] tour, where it featured heavily. After the [[Nights Of Nothing Tour]], the song was not played for 17 years until it was resurrected and played (as an altered version) throughout for the [[NIN 2013-2014Festival Tour]] tour. During The song featured heavily during the [[Tension NIN 2013 Tour-2014]]touring cycle, it featured backing vocals by but was a rarer appearance during the [[Lisa FischerNIN 2017-2018]] and [[Sharlotte Gibson]]. Beginning with the 2014 tour, the song was played to a backing track so [[Ilan RubinNIN 2022]] could play basstouring cycles.
During From the Dissonance Tour to the [[Nights Of Nothing Tour]] , a darker, slower-paced version of the song with an extended intro was performed. During the Nights of Nothing shows, the breakdown of the song included the lyric, "please, God, save me."  Beginning with the 2013 Festival Tour, a radically reworked version of the song was performed. The alternate version features a different bassline, and features [[Hesitation Marks]]-style synthesizers in place of the guitar and drum tracks. Elements of "[[Discipline]]," "[[Please]]," and "[[Sunspots]]" have been interpolated into the reworked live 2013-present version. Namely, the line "just like now" from the former "Please" being whispered at various intervalsfollowing the first verse, while the falsetto vocals from the post-chorus of "Discipline" and the latter's synthesizer lead (or "blender sound") of "Sunspots" are featured towards the end of the song. During the [[Tension 2013 Tour]], the song featured a further altered bassline by [[Pino Palladino]] and backing vocals by [[Lisa Fischer]] & [[Sharlotte Gibson]]. Beginning with the 2014 tour, the song was played to a backing track so [[Ilan Rubin]] could play bass.
