Present on the ''Demos & Remixes'' bootleg, it has the same tone as the ''Pretty Hate Machine'' version while including a dialog sample and alternate sounds during the bridge, an alternate lyric near the end, and a sample at the very end with a man saying, "Hold on to hope even when it's hopeless, and you'll see your life begin to change."

===Sanctified (''Purest Feeling'')===

The song begins with a shouted four count with drumsticks before hitting into the song. It is played slightly faster than other versions of the track, and all the effects are at a higher octave, giving it a much brighter mood. The intro also features the guitar riff used during the choruses. It contains samples similar to what appear on the demo version. The track segues directly into the next song on the album, "[[Maybe Just Once]]", where the beginning of a sample (from the movie ''Diner'') is present.
