:Well the radio station or magazine that said YZ sounded a lot more stripped down was obviously run by idiots. Any dumbass could tell there's a huge amount of sampling involved, and even if you never listened to the songs, based on the quote by Reznor that he did the album nearly entirely on a laptop that it was going to have a lot of loops and junk. And further more, you can't base an opinion on an album from one listening.
