[[Angry_Sniper|Angry Sniper]] apparently sets off bombs and shoots and kills someone at a baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on either [[Year_Zero_Timeline|Feb 3, 0000]] or Feb 9, 0000. What's interesting about this is that under the current baseball schedule, there is no Major League Baseball being played in February. Further, Angry Sniper seems to indicate that there are a lot of people paying attention to this game, which gives weight to the idea that this is not simply a pre-season or exhibition game.
Possibilities for this anomaly are:
* Dates from 1/1/0000 do not correspond exactly to current date system. (i.e. 1/1/0000 is not the same as Jan 1, 2022)
* The Major League Baseball season has been shifted
* The dates are simply an error on the part of the people who put the sites together
The theory that seems to make the most sense (through considerable debated on IRC) is that the season has been shifted. Given that, we need to determine the reason that the baseball season has been shifted. Since Wrigley Field is in Chicago, and is not a domed stadium (we can be sure it has not been domed over, as the announcers see, and we can hear, the small plane flying over in the recording) we can make the assumption that weather changes have made it reasonable to play baseball in Chicago in February. Since we have heard from other sources that [[Year_Zero_Research/Global_Warming|global warming]] has made other major planet-wide changes, it stands to reason that global warming has forced MLB to shift the season.
This is quite a big deal, considering baseball's history as "America's Pastime" and the long legacy of baseball traditions such as Spring Training, The Boys of Summer, Mister October, and many other things that make "Baseball Season" such a big part of American culture. It indicates that in [[Year_Zero_Research|Year Zero]], global warming has caused considerable changes not only to the world's environment but to culture and society as well.

Along with the Yankees and Red Sox, the Cubs and the Cardinals are considered the biggest of baseball rivals. This is likely why a lot of people are paying attention to this game. Although as of right now, Wrigley Field is generally filled to capacity during every home game, games between Chicago and St. Louis are ALWAYS sold out. There are also always people outside Wrigley and in the surrounding areas. If Angry Sniper wanted maximum casualties, attacking during a game between these two teams would be ideal.
