Talk:Me, I'm Not
Does anyone have a link to the original thread on The Spiral about the new flash drive?
"Fingerprint"
I'm calling bullshit. Unless someone can get a database say that it's actually a fingerprint, it's gotta go. -Heroicraptor 00:32, 5 April 2007 (PDT)

I don't see anything remotely resembling a fingerprint, and if there is one, how are we supposed to do anything with it? Hack into the f.b.i. database and try to run a match? So unless Trent just decided to put a fingerprint made of sound in there to see if we would catch it, lets leave it out(I would have taken it out myself but quite frankly the admins here scare me with there mystical banning powers and the ability to fix anything I screw up; powers to great for a mortal to possess. -Crazyninfan 22:55, 10 April 2007 (PDT)
- It just looks like a couple overlapping porabolas. You shouldn't worry about getting banned from the wiki as long as you make edits that make sense. Wiki's run on the "good faith" idea, that anyone who contributes does so with the idea that it will help. So if you're trying to help, and not deleting entire pages, don't worry about it. But make sure not to talk about Kroupa in the #iamtryingtobelieve chat room, since Tonyst didn't know it was arg related and kick/banned me;) Oh yah and don't make a joke about a song title, like saying my violent hardon, cause some people can't take a joke. -Velvolver 05:45, 11 April 2007 (PDT)
I took it out. -Disrepair 18:05, 27 May 2007 (PDT)

Does anyone else see a connection between this song and Bianca Sherer? The opening part of the song matches well to her contacting AVOTT. The second half matches well to her story as given in the "zero pages." At least, I think so. --Mr z 10:58, 22 April 2007 (PDT)
I think you might be right, but I don't think there's a very strong lead. I don't see why we couldn't list it as a possible theory in interpretation or something.Disrepair 13:51, 30 April 2007 (PDT)
Viewpoint
Is it just me, or does it seem like this is being sung from the viewpoint of Neil Czerno in captivity? Under the right circumstances, you'll say anything to get them to release you. Raan 16:52, 1 October 2007 (PDT)
Something I was wondering: Is it possible that this song is actually from the viewpoint of a soldier after being given the Red Pills? It all seems to fit: The subject "being responsible for the initiation of 'this thing'", which would be because he 'chose' to take the pills. 'That the conflict could have been prevented if he had known what he 'knows right now.'" fits because soldies aren't told the consequences of taking the pills until after they've begun. And "the only way to win is 'knowing not to fight,'" since the only way to stop the pills effects would be to force yourself to stop fighting. The lyrics seem to fit quite well too, especially "And I'm losing control" and "I'm not used to this".
Just something I noticed. --WalterFlagg 21:11, 7 August 2008 (EST)

Does a random users accusation qualify as important? The song mentioned is so radically different that it looks like nothing more than a troll. If said post ever took place, it kind of glorifys the troll by leaving it in. Adds nothing to the discussion at any rate.
Interpretation
The song discusses a conflict with another person or entity which is causing the singer to lose himself or to become something worse. It seems as if this fight is removing a sort of disguise from the singer, revealing what might be called his true nature, but a nature which the singer "defines himself" by denying. The subject of the song also admits to being responsible for the initiation of "this thing" which may refer either to the conflict or the self-degeneration or both, and explains that he is unable to stop it. He explains that the only way to win is "knowing not to fight," and he expresses that the conflict could have been prevented if he had known what he "knows right now."
It may also be describing, from a first-person perspective, a character infected by the Red Horse biological agent. — Disrepair 14:41, 30 April 2007
