Talk:The Presence
Another pointless theory :- The photographs of the Presence, excluding the "fake photograph", appear to be right handed. So does the spectograph image found with My Violent Heart. Could this imply that the presence is essentially the right hand of God? It was said somewhere (not on the year zero related websites) that with his left hand God is said to care for and protect life on earth, where as with the right hand righteous relationships with God are restored. So is God flexing his authority in the form of the presence as an attempt to regain balance in the world? A couple of things that my disprove this idea is the fact there is no obvious thumb on the presence, and that the scribble of the presence in the consolidated mail seems to be left handed...

All the times I've ever heard of God doing something of a supportive nature it was with His right hand, and opposite with His left hand.--Velvolver 11:16, 4 March 2007 (PST)
The Presence on the album cover looks like a left-hand to me. --Mr z 12:26, 4 March 2007 (PST)
All things considered, I doubt God has anything to do with it. It will most likely be left up to interpretation, and we will probably never know what it is cannonically. --Thesmokingman 15:21, 4 March 2007 (PST)
- Regardless of if it is or is not related to God, it is hard to ignore the many biblical referances, specifically to the Book of Revelation. If nothing else, Year Zero appears to be at least partially inspired by the vision of the end of the world presented in the Book of Revelation.
According to the new judson Ogram site, the presence is an alien lifeform (not space aliens, but most likely an earth spirit or something)...and according to the old judson ogram site (John of Boston's) it's religious phenomenon.
Furthermore, it should be noted that people who discuss the presence publically are arrested and sent to the funny farm by Da Man.--Velvolver 13:49, 15 March 2007 (PDT)
I think it might be worthwhile to note that the soldiers in the onecountryatatime see the Presence after taking their blue pills. Parepin is speculated to cause people to see the Presence and the blue pills given are given to soldiers to counter the parepin. Yet the soldiers see the Presence.
Also I find it interesting that the US soldiers were stopped in sheer awe, but the enemy snipers either don’t see it or simply ignore it.

Delete What? (Theory)
Excuse me...If you check out the YEAR ZERO promo on yearzero.nin.com, the one where it's taking a video of the country side. Their is a very brief, split second (and i mean split), where a strange noise is heard and blue rushes across the screen. i pause the video, and scrolled back. on the first line it says...
I'M TRYING
on the second, it says...
TO DELETE
any ideas, views?

- It seems other people read it as I AM TRYING TO BELIEVE. Pomte 18:29, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
- Well, it could be either one. I AM TRYING TO DELETE didn't get any results on the lyric site, but I AM TRYING TO BELIEVE is a Blues Brother's lyric. Or it could be that website I AM TRYING TO BELIEVE --Electric 10:23, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
- It's definitely "I am trying to believe." Watch the trailer again, pause it, and flip through the frames with your arrow keys. Examine the two frames that it's legible. It is without a doubt, "Believe." "Delete" doesn't really have any relevence to Year Zero. --ThePresence 15:48, 7 April 2007 (PDT)
The Fake Photograph
I noticed that there is a should-be link to the fake photograph found in AVotT on the article, but it doesn't link anywhere. I've found the image (http://www.anotherversionofthetruth.com/images/end_12.jpg) but I'm not sure how to edit this into the article. Anyone want to link to the image? A video about the Presence
On February 24, 2007, a YouTube user called takeparepin posted a Youtube clip of the Presence. The fingers appear to be five. Is this fan made? Check out takeparepin's profile. --Wizfan 07:57, 24 July 2007 (PDT)
