I recall in the lyrics PDF for WIth Teeth that this was one of the mentioned but unreleased tracks shown.

Anyone else curious to see if it is in fact the same track, or something entirely new? (Especially since Trent said that none of the Year Zero tracks were old/unreleased tracks from previous productions, such as the unreleased extras from Fragile and With Teeth) --killjoy 15:17, 14 March 2007 (PDT)

Could it be that this song is some indication that the Presence isn't a force of God, that it's more of an other-worldly, perhaps alien force? The use of "we" and the implication that the Presence has been watching, and that they were watching what was happening to "her" (possibly the planet): these things seem to indicate towards that (in my understanding, anyway). There's obviously hyper-religiosity as a theme in YZ (i.e., Church of Plano), and yet it still isn't the "right answer" to what has gone wrong with the world.
