Those links you posted on Year Zero Research are obviously not related to the ARG in any way. Different registrars, no mentions of Year Zero events, etc. A passing similarity in name -- "zero sum" -- in no wise indicates anything but a coincidental naming scheme. :Please do not place the brute force search information on the Wiki. I appreciate finding the site and all, but it's simply not necessaray for the folks who are using this as an information source. (I'm already not too keen on posting the IPs and last-modified dates but thats a different argument...). Thanks --BurnHavoc 05:28, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
:Yeah, the backlash from the IRC and ETS is getting pretty ugly. Alot of people don't agree with the way it's being done in finding the sites. Since theres nothing actually ON the site, and I KNOW a good quarter of the sites were found far before their times through various means (not including the ones from the early-release CDs). Nontheless, most users won't know what a Bash shell is and considering the general distaste for the method I'm trying to keep a balance between the viewpoints. as such, no Wiki info on the subject of bruteforce, but the results and mention that it was the method used (for the time being until the REAL clue is found) will be posted on the Wiki and on the ETS forums. I have to slap SPOLIER tags everywhere, but your work IS appreciated by me at least. (BTW, if you use 4 ~'s at the end of your posts the Wiki automatically does the signature you see to the right->) --BurnHavoc 06:21, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
