Cool Down Daddy was a band that Trent Reznor was in for a brief time in 1988, before Nine Inch Nails. The band consisted of Bruce Somers on drums (also producer for Slam Bamboo), Don Cook on guitar, Marty Step on keyboards (also in Exotic Birds), Trent Reznor on keyboards, and Sean Beavan on vocals and bass (also worked on many Nine Inch Nails releases and related things, including Broken, Fixed, The Downward Spiral, Closer To God, Further Down The Spiral, Slam Bamboo, and Hanson: The Movie).
Cool Down Daddy had no releases besides a demo tape, but were featured on the various artists compilation Exhibit C: Ohio's Undercurrent, put out by Play Records in 1988. The song featured on the compilation is "Sometimes She Smiles".
