Almost immediately after leaving The Jesus and Mary Chain's Automatic Tour, Nine Inch Nails was tapped as an opening act for Peter Murphy's Deep Tour. They were with the tour through mid-April 1990, though they left the tour a few dates earlier than they were scheduled. The tour is part of the Pretty Hate Machine Tour series.

Stage Set-Up
