Almost immediately after leaving The Jesus and Mary Chain's Automatic Tour, Nine Inch Nails was tapped as an opening act for Peter Murphy's Deep Tour. They were with the tour through mid-April 1990, though they left the tour a few dates earlier than they were scheduled. The tour is part of the Pretty Hate Machine Tour series.
Line-Up
- David Haymes: Keyboards, backing vocals
- Richard Patrick: Guitar, backing vocals
- Trent Reznor: Vocals, guitar
- Chris Vrenna: Drums
Stage Set-Up
As these shows were opening sets, the stage was as basic as possible. In order to leave room for Peter Murphy's band's gear in the background, NIN's drum kit was stage right of Reznor and the keyboard was stage left of Patrick.
