The Jesus and Mary Chain

The Jesus and Mary Chain is a Scottish alternative rock band, reactivated in 2007 after their original breakup in 1999. Primary contributors are the Reid brothers, Jim and William. The band draws heavily from garage rock and noise and is a forerunner of the shoegaze genre. Their song "Snakedriver" appears alongside Nine Inch Nails' rendition of "Dead Souls" on the 1994 soundtrack to The Crow.

Nine Inch Nails was the opening act for The Jesus and Mary Chain's 1990 tour in support of their third record, Automatic. The Jesus and Mary Chain were then chosen in 2018 as the main support act for NIN's Cold And Black And Infinite Tour.
