Nine Inch Nails played at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California, on 16th May 2009 as part of the Wave Goodbye Tour. Jane's Addiction and Street Sweeper Social Club also performed.

- During Street Sweeper Social Club's set, Trent Reznor came out and performed a cover of MC5's "Kick Out The Jams".
- The sound died during "Terrible Lie," resulting in a false start. Trent Reznor addressed the incident: "It wouldn't be a Nine Inch Nails show without something fucking up. Let's try it again; the next time, I'm tearing the fucking PA down."
