"She's Gone Away" is the third track on the 2016 EP Not The Actual Events. The song features Mariqueen Maandig as a guest vocalist. The track makes references to "Reptile" in its extra lyrics and in the Not The Actual Events physical component.
In a Q+A session before the 2017 Riot Fest show, it was revealed that "She's Gone Away" was written specifically for Twin Peaks: The Return. It was later revealed that an early version of "This Isn't The Place" was originally presented to David Lynch who rejected it, asking for something edgier.[1] Nine Inch Nails (billed as "The Nine Inch Nails" and consisting of Trent Reznor, Robin Finck, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, Atticus Ross, Alessandro Cortini and Joey Castillo of Queens Of The Stone Age) appeared in an episode doing a mimed performance of the song, which also appears on the soundtrack for the new series.

Lyrics
You dig in places till your fingers bleed Spread the infection where you spill your seed I can't remember what she came here for I can't remember much of anything anymore She's gone She's gone She's gone away A little mouth opened up inside Yeah, I was watching on the day she died We keep licking while the skin turns black Cut along the length (but you can't get the feeling back) She's gone She's gone She's gone away Are you still here?
Lyrics embedded in the Apple Music release include extra, unsung words directly referencing "Reptile":
you dig in places til your fingers bleed she spreads herself wide open to let the insects in spread the infection where you spill your seed she leaves a trail of honey to show me where she's been i can't remember what she came here for i can't remember much of anything anymore
In the physical component for Not The Actual Events, the song lyrics are superimposed over a copy of page 14 from the Deluxe Edition booklet of The Downward Spiral.
