About me

Hi there, I'm NINrod here and at the NIN.com forums.

I'm also an avid editor of wikis, a sysop at a couple myself. At those wikis, I tend to do background template and code work, as well as a lot of maintenance and minor, overlooked things.

I joined this wiki on October 27, 2008.

Nine Inch Nails

I first acquired a NIN album some time ago (in 2006, I'd hazard?), and I watched "Closer", which had this enthralling character to it. I was intrigued by what I now know as "industrial metal/rock", and have since been quite a fan of Nine Inch Nails. As of 2008, I began weening my NIN craving of sorts, and started listening to Marilyn Manson, which I soon acquired a full discography of his (or his band's) studio album releases and compilations.

I've always been a listening of non-NIN, industrial rock, metal stuff; in fact, I don't really like metal itself, as I find it's something I simply don't enjoy (rather, I prefer "indie" and "alternative" music), and I absolutely loathe the discussions that metalheads get into, such as "no, this isn't black metal; it's uber-heavy-super-dark, not-white, blackened, melodeath metal", which I find utterly disgusting and preposterous.

Real life

I live in Sydney, Australia. :) (Where there aren't places that I know of that sell band shirts! :( To say the least, though, I don't really know that many places that sell whatever I'm looking for. :P)
