Skinny Puppy is a notable Industrial band formed in the early 80's. The first Nine Inch Nails shows were opening gigs for Skinny Puppy along select VIVIsect VI tour dates in 1988. Trent Reznor has claimed his "first song" 'Down In It' is a "total rip-off" of 'Dig It' by Skinny Puppy in a radio interview.
