The improved DVD version was first announced to be released in late 2004, but has yet to happen due to issues with Interscope Records. On December 20, 2006, the DVDs were leaked through the use of torrents. It is speculated that Trent himself was behind this and the Broken Movie leak, based on the DVD quality, the in-depth knowledge of the torrent uploader seed0, and a post on his official blog that read, "12/21/06 : Happy Holidays! This one is a guilt-free download. (shhhh - I didn't say that out loud). If you know what I'm talking about, cool."
