The first minute of the song is heavy on drum loops, guitar, and processed screams of Trent Reznor, similar in sound to those on "The Downward Spiral". It then descends into ambience, Reznor's screams echoing and fading away beneath.
Level name: "The Bad Place" (DM4, multiplayer only). "Quake Theme" is the most common title of this track because it plays during demo rolls immediately upon game launch.
