Nick Rushe was the keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails for a brief period in 1989, during the "Pretty Hate Machine" Promotional Tour. He replaced Chris Vrenna on the keyboards, so that Vrenna would be able to play drums for the band. Rushe was in the band Exotic Birds with Trent Reznor before joining Nine Inch Nails. Rushe played on the album Equilibrium, recorded after Reznor left the band, and also may have played on the demos for the cancelled Exotic Birds album set to be released sometime around 1991. David Haymes took Rushe's place in Nine Inch Nails after his departure.
