Ron Musarra was the original drummer for Nine Inch Nails. He only played during the band's stint in supporting Skinny Puppy. Musarra was replaced by Chris Vrenna, who had originally played keyboards. He had previously been a member of Slam Bamboo with Trent Reznor. Musarra is thanked in the original liner notes of Pretty Hate Machine and played drums on the Purest Feeling recording. As of 2015, Ron works as an audio engineer for the progressive metal band Mastodon.
