a theory I wanted to note was about the phrase "Carolina's in the tarpit." Perhaps they mean she has succeeded in time travel (like Velvolver speculated) and has gone back in time to send banned books and songs... to the others? I took it as they were going back in time, retrieving files that were (in year 0000) gone (banned), and sending them forward in time, but perhaps I'm wrong. I was just thinking about it, since tarpits are known for their ability to preserve animals/dinosaurs that fell into them.
Also, the link is still working for me. Perhaps you didn't put the pieces close enough together? I'm not sure.

From my understanding, Carolina remained until the end in SBI and didn’t go anywhere.
She just sent information back to our time, which explains the distorted layout of the
pages and why there are fragments of the banned books.
JORDAN: Wayne & Carolina @ SBI. Carolina's in the tarpit. Frank is relaying.
I'm @ McGill. I've got a class writing an exam--may have to jump out.
I assume the tarpit is either network related [1]
or it’s the room/place within the SBI where Carolina is operating
FRANCISCO: channel snapped. I think C's just waiting for them to break through the doors.

Theres some kinda IRC chat window that comes up im going to transcribe it when ive taken screen shots of it all (someone beat me to it) ----Adversegecko

- Am I the only one who can't get to the Solutions Backward Initiative page anymore? When I click on the remnants of the "submit" button at Secure Broadcast Informatics, nothing happens. The link worked for me once last night and now it doesn't. I've tried this on 2 other computers (one a Mac and one a PC) using 2 different browsers: nothing happens. Is the link working for everyone else? --Tsguitar 07:51, 1 March 2007 (PST)
also, the bible passage refers to what Caroline keeps repeating...

The diagrams on the page resemble Feynman Diagrams and are undoubtedly related to whatever research they are doing. If it is supposed to involve time travel then they could be a Feynman-like diagram used to describe the closed timelike loops in their research. Ledgekindred 14:43, 28 February 2007 (PST)

I noticed the "Shared Images" at the top there's 4 to choose from. but I couldn't seem to find anything changing when I click on any of them... SO.. I right clicked on the chat box. and "zoomed in" the box moved and I could see different diagrams .and the "internet relay chat" keeps going for a very long time.
Can someone create a page for Solutions Backward Initiative? We should separate information about the two different sites. --Tsguitar 18:01, 28 February 2007 (PST)
In IRC chats I was having last night with other ARGers, we theorized that perhaps the SBI succeded in their attempts at time travel and are sending these pages back to present day (us to be more specific). And perhaps the Presence is a space time rift. --Velvolver 06:14, 1 March 2007 (PST)
Fermi
Just a thought, in the transcript when Alicia is asked if shes having a 'bad time at Fermi' it could be referring to Fermilab, a lab which works in the areas of 'particle acceleration, and the science of matter, space and time' I think this further backs up the whole time travel theory
anyone notice the vague resemblance to the NIN logo in the pic on this page http://www.solutionsbackwardsinitiative.net/pilgrims/sympathetic.htm
here is a direct link to the image only http://www.solutionsbackwardsinitiative.net/pilgrims/images/diagram.jpg
The N's in the boxes? Maybe?
- I think it's just a happy coincidence. Take a look at the diagram on this page. The boxes w/ a slash are polarizers. SBI utilizes quantum cryptography, and most of these diagrams have to do with quantum mechanics, including the optics of generating entangled photons. --Mr z 13:12, 7 March 2007 (PST)
