The song starts with the drone that fades in at the end of "1 Ghosts I". A quiet piano melody in 3/4 is added. At the end of the piece, heavy reverb is added to the piano. The main drone cuts off to leave a quieter one, which fades out and ends the song.
Live
"2 Ghosts I" has never been played live.
Differences In Artwork
While "2 Ghosts I" is not the greatest example of this, it should be noted that much of the artwork embedded in the files of the official download of Ghosts I–IV from nin.com are not just cropped versions of the photographs in the PDF.
