With Teeth Club Tour
The With Teeth Club Tour was the very first leg of the With Teeth Touring Cycle. Trent Reznor and the record labels were unsure of what kind of response Nine Inch Nails would receive, after being absent from the music scene for 4 years. Several months of club dates were scheduled, and instantly sold out, reassuring Trent and Interscope alike, that NIN still had a strong following. Opening acts for this tour were Carre Callaway and The Dresden Dolls.
Lineup
- Alessandro Cortini: Keyboards, programming, guitar, bass, backing vocals
- Jerome Dillon: Drums
- Aaron North: Guitar, backing vocals
- Trent Reznor: Vocals, guitar, keyboards, tambourine, mbira
- Jeordie White: Bass, guitar, keyboards, backing vocals
Stage Setup
The stage setup for the club tour was minimal. It featured onstage lighting in the form of vertical light bars behind the band, and a few small clusters of lights that were attached to wire structures almost resembling flowers. These fixtures were incorporated into the rest of With Teeth tour stage setups, up until the Summer 2006 tour.
Setlists
Nine songs from With Teeth made their live debut on this tour: "You Know What You Are?," "The Collector," "The Hand That Feeds," "Love Is Not Enough," "Every Day Is Exactly The Same," "With Teeth," "Getting Smaller," "The Line Begins To Blur," and "Beside You In Time" (though latter was performed only in short pre-recorded form as an intro). Songs "Burn" and "Dead Souls" returned to the setlist for the first time since 1995 and 1996 respectively. Due to minimal production, the band was able to change setlist often and move some songs up and down from show to show.
Pre-show music
In a question submitted to nin.com/access, a fan asked what music was being played before the With Teeth Touring Cycle shows, and Reznor posted a list of songs.
