Anybody know why Death From Above 1979 wasn't listed in the closing credits along with all of the other opening bands?--Depravitor 11:14, 20 March 2007 (PDT)
- Because the band died? -Heroicraptor 12:25, 20 March 2007 (PDT)
- There was some bickering between DFA and Trent. Pomte 18:21, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
- Ohhh... I was looking forward to so many things that weren't on the d.v.d., like down in it, get down make love, the La-Mer and into the void mixture. I'm pretty sure they played one of the instrumental songs from still when I saw them at Virginia Beach also... :( -Crazyninfan 22:12, 10 April 2007 (PDT)
Does anybody else think it's worth noting the packaging of BYIT, and how the Blu-Ray disc version led to a new website...? Jgrizzy89 05:09, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
- It would be noteworthy that the packaging was different as part of the "Year Zero Experience, and include the clue. TheLastRaven 07:38, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
- I would add all of that information, but the problem with that is that Inever owned a copy of the Blu-Ray version, so I don't know the specifics, I just know that somewhere in there led to SBI... I think :) Jgrizzy89 11:54, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
- There are a few pictures of the Blu-Ray packaging on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/ynjdpp --Wizfan 01:20, 19 June 2007 (PDT)

Water bottles and cell phones don't match
So, I've been watching the two live DVD sets repeatedly these days, and I've noticed something: in AATCHB, the band throws lots of water at the crowd, and often spit around the stage. In BYIT, the "new guys" don't have any bottles around them, and only Reznor punches some glasses of water at the crowd at the end of "Terrible Lie".
I think this is because many people in the crowd in BYIT hold cell phones? If I remember correctly, cell phones with cameras attached on them did not exist back in 2000, the year of the Fragility tour (which AATCHB features).
As for the spitting, the only time somebody spat in BYIT was in the middle of "Head like a Hole" (a really funny close-up, with Reznor singing and Alessandro Cortini spitting).
I know, I'm a disgusting person, but it seems to me that BYIT has more differences from AATCHB than just widescreen picture, the new band members, the With Teeth songs and Reznor's "beefed-up" look. It's the documentary of a new era, where technology has evolved so much that people can film videos in 1920x1080 resolution and progressive scanning, record their favorite rock concerts with their own cell phones, encode audio in Dolby Digital TrueHD and make Reznor's vocals swirl around the surround speakers (for example, "You Know What You Are?").
The only "surround effects" in AATCHB were some stupid guitar solo effects in "Gave Up" and a terribly painful bass in Robin Finck's solo in "Starfuckers, Inc.". I almost regretted bying my surround speakers. No offence, AATCHB is excellent, but the sound mixing should have been a bit better. --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 04:44, 12 September 2007 (PDT)
or maybe the water thing is because most people drink water to come off of a hangover, and since the band then probably drank every night, that water helped them out a bit... and to explain tr- he's hot on stage maybe? lol
- I'm guessing it's because the band just isn't as active on stage as much. They don't leap around and throw microphone stands at the drummer anymore - and they don't throw water into the fans. I don't think they care about cell phones, really. --Tonyconverse! 20:03, 23 September 2007 (PDT)
- Yeah, I've been watching a
bootlegfan-recorded video of the Woodstock '94 and the band seems to be more interested in destroying the stage than actually performing the songs. Now, T-Rez is in his 40s, and the rest of the band doesn't do more than just play their instrutments (except for Aaron North, who never stops leaping and kicking around while playing his guitars). --Wizfan, the man who erased the capital H 23:19, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
