This is a shared account. If there is a problem with some of the edits made under this account, please consider its other users before taking heavy-handed actions. Don't discount the value of anonymity.
- In that case, everyone should share one account, namely Anonymous. What's the point of requiring registration then? Pomte 00:45, 17 February 2007 (PST)
- I think the only reason to require registration is as a spam protection measure. Compulsory registration raises the barrier to entry for prospective editors. A shared, anonymous account makes editing more accessible, and it can be dealt with if spam or vandalism becomes a problem. For me, the biggest benefit is not having to remember another username and password. —Nothing 03:27, 18 February 2007 (PST)
- "Compulsory registration raises the barrier to entry for prospective editors." No. If someone really feels strongly enough to contribute, then they shouldn't be bothered by registering. "For me, the biggest benefit is not having to remember another username and password." Every single internet browser I've ever used allows for username and password saving. Also, you can enable cookies so you're automatically logged in when you visit the site. This account will be deleted in five days' time. If you require further information, please contact one of the administrators. -Heroicraptor 00:02, 19 February 2007 (PST)
