"Theme For Tetsuo: The Bullet Man" is an instrumental track by Nine Inch Nails for the film Tetsuo: The Bullet Man, the third in the Tetsuo trilogy of films by acclaimed Japanese director Shinya Tsukamoto. This was NIN's second collaboration with Tsukamoto, after the TOH (Top Of The Hour) MTV placement. The track runs 5:34 at two different tempos.
It is notable as not only the first new Nine Inch Nails track since The Slip's release 2 years earlier, but also the first NIN release to have no involvement from Alan Moulder since "Burn" came out in 1994.

Versions
Theme For Tetsuo: The Bullet Man
This is the only known version. Opening with approximately a minute and a half of buzzing and sawing machine loops at 104 BPM interrupted by quiet piano at an improvised pace, an A/B structure begins. The A section is characterized by a four-on-the-floor bass drum pulse at 104 BPM layered with distorted guitar loops, while the B section consists of the piano theme played on brass synthesizers at 110 BPM. Brief noise loops bridge the return to the A section, this time extended with variations. The piano returns to cut off this section and reintroduce the chord progression of the B section, which also repeats with variations until suddenly cutting off at the end of the phrase.
