{{expand}}Almost immediately after leaving [[The Jesus and Mary Chain]]'s [[Automatic Tour]], [[Nine Inch Nails]] was tapped as an opening act for [[Peter Murphy]]'s Deep Tour. They were with the tour until the end of through mid-April in 1990, though they left the tour a few dates earlier than they were scheduled. The tour is part of the [[Pretty Hate Machine Tour]] series.
