Gary Talpas was the original Art Director for Nine Inch Nails. He designed the iconic NIN logo, as well as most of the sleeve artwork for NIN releases from 1989 to 1997. He was succeeded as NIN Art Director by Rob Sheridan.
Gary also appeared briefly in the the live NIN performance lineup. According to Trent Reznor, they "needed an extra body" on stage. Even though Gary didn't know how to play the keyboard, they had him mime playing it during the "Pretty Hate Machine" Promotional Tour performances.
