When performed live with NIN, instead of the album lyrics, Bowie sang lyrics from his song "Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)", slowly, and in his lower register. Trent Reznor played saxophone during these performances. This song was always led in by "Eraser" and followed by "Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)".
In 2018, a version of the song was performed during the Cold And Black And Infinite Tour, still with a saxophone, incorporating lyrics from "God Break Down The Door" and "Over And Out", and notes from "The Frail" at the end. On November 30, 2018, Reznor sang the lyrics from "Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)" instead of the songs from Bad Witch.
