Jeff Ward (November 1962–March 19, 1993) toured with Nine Inch Nails as the drummer, beginning with the Sin Tour Sand for all the 1991 shows, replacing Chris Vrenna who had been fired during that period. He had also worked with Ministry, Lard, and Revolting Cocks, among others.
Ward died in 1993 of self-induced carbon monoxide poisoning after a long struggle with heroin addiction. The Downward Spiral contains a dedication to him in its liner notes.
