Another pointless theory :- The photographs of the Presence, excluding the "fake photograph", appear to be right handed. So does the spectograph image found with My Violent Heart. Could this imply that the presence is essentially the right hand of God? It was said somewhere (not on the year zero related websites) that with his left hand God is said to care for and protect life on earth, where as with the right hand righteous relationships with God are restored. So is God flexing his authority in the form of the presence as an attempt to regain balance in the world? A couple of things that my disprove this idea is the fact there is no obvious thumb on the presence, and that the scribble of the presence in the consolidated mail seems to be left handed...

All the times I've ever heard of God doing something of a supportive nature it was with His right hand, and opposite with His left hand.--Velvolver 11:16, 4 March 2007 (PST)
The Presence on the album cover looks like a left-hand to me. --Mr z 12:26, 4 March 2007 (PST)
All things considered, I doubt God has anything to do with it. It will most likely be left up to interpretation, and we will probably never know what it is cannonically. --Thesmokingman 15:21, 4 March 2007 (PST)
- Regardless of if it is or is not related to God, it is hard to ignore the many biblical referances, specifically to the Book of Revelation. If nothing else, Year Zero appears to be at least partially inspired by the vision of the end of the world presented in the Book of Revelation.
According to the new judson Ogram site, the presence is an alien lifeform (not space aliens, but most likely an earth spirit or something)...and according to the old judson ogram site (John of Boston's) it's religious phenomenon.
Furthermore, it should be noted that people who discuss the presence publically are arrested and sent to the funny farm by Da Man.--Velvolver 13:49, 15 March 2007 (PDT)
